Timber Frames
( A ) Speed of construction
Timber frame houses can be erected and left water tight in days, therefore allowing other trades to proceed with their work. Most homes can be completed in 4 to 6 weeks. |
|
( B ) Accuracy
Sll timber frame panels are made under supervised factory conditions thus reducing the margin of error. All thought on design and procedure are done before any production commences, with consultation with our engineers and quality control. |

( C ) Savings on heating costs
Timber frame homes have better insulation properties than trad- itional homes, with better u-value readings. External wall panels range from a 4" to a 6" panel with the 6" panel achieving higher u-values. Statistics show that timber frame can save up to 40% to 70% on heating costs, and with ever rising cost in oil prices it makes timber frame a more favourable form of construction. |
|
Current building regulation require a u-value of 0.35w/m2k,
current indications say this will reduce even lower in the not too distant furture. This will be difficult and expensive to achieve with traditional build whereby timber frame is already meeting the new regulation without any extra cost.
We are aware timber frame construction is rapidly growing, therefore leading to a competive market which we find we can compete in.
Timberdwell are of the understanding you are only as good as your last job, and take this on board with each new project we approach. |
